Hi Storehouse Family
Hope you’re already having a great week.
God always brings His purposes to pass; He is always about His business. There is nothing that He has set forth that does not happen as He has designed it.
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11
Paul, writing to the Ephesian church, reminds them that God works everything out according to His purposes and plans.
“In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to His counsel and will.”
Ephesians 1:11
The Power of God at Work
Throughout the Scriptures we see, time after time, God showing up for and on behalf of His people.
Over and over again we witness displays of His power and might, culminating in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The glorious message of the Gospel is that this same power which raised Christ from the dead is now at work in us as believers.
“Now to Him who, by the power that is at work within us, is able to do superabundantly far above all that we dare ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.”
2 Chronicles 16:9
“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead.”
Ephesians 1:19–20
Living in the Reality of What God Has Done
This truth is mind-boggling. Yet it is easy for us to forget who we are and the inheritance we have received.
We have been given the Holy Spirit as a guarantee that God will always come through.
“When you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.”
Ephesians 1:13
God constantly reminds us to live in the reality of what He has already done in us — to work out what He has worked in.
“Work out your own salvation with reverence and awe.”
Philippians 2:12
Taking Hold of What God Has Given
God calls us to move forward and take hold of what He has already given us.
“See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of it.”
Deuteronomy 1:8
Because God has called us out of darkness into His light, we are urged to live as children of light.
“For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
Ephesians 5:8
How long will we continue to shrink back in doubt and fear?
How long will we hide behind seeking “clarity” or “inner peace” before we start to truly take God at His word?
Be Strong and Courageous
God’s call to His people has always been clear: trust Him and move forward.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
We are called to live boldly — not timidly — because we serve a BIG God.
